The Iceland scallop (Chlamys islandica)
Keshken offers you natural, tasty Iceland scallops fished in the waters of the Mingan region of Québec’s North Shore.
The flesh of the scallop has an ivory, amber or creamy pink colour. Beware of milky white scallops: they may have been treated with sodium tripolyphosphate, a chemical compound use to prolong the water retention of fish or seafood flesh and boost their appearance of freshness. Keshken scallops contain no additives.
